Never having to 'fall in'
My husband has never left the toilet seat up. I am thankful for that. Here is a picture from the 'toilet seat' museum... one of the grand ol' USA's more original and strange attractions.

Old Spunky Ladies
I love talking to older women with great stories to tell and with a lot of spunk. I watched Harold and Maude this weekend for the first time. If you havn't seen it, its pretty original and a cult classic. I love Maude. Our culture puts so much emphasis on youth, but for me, I'm very thankful for wonderful old women, especially those with pink hair and pink poodles :)

Double Rainbows
I told my husband today that I wanted to see a rainbow. As evening was approaching, the largest rainbow I've ever seen spanned the sky... and it was a double! This picture is not mine, but it looked like this.

Dust Dancing in a Sunbeam
Usually I'm not a big fan of dust, and I think most people would concur that dusting is not listed high on their list of favorite activities. But when I see dust dancing in a stream of sunlight sometimes I just sit and watch in amazement. It can be so beautiful. And then it also makes me think that this same dust is around me all the time, but usually I can't see it. There's so much that goes on that is beyond the scope of our senses. Anyway, today I am thankful for the dust.
